The BIOL Annual Postgraduate Conference

“This year’s postgrad conference is being held on the 2nd-4th September at beautiful Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast – walking distance from surf beaches and Burleigh Heads National Park! An extremely modest $25 covers food and accommodation for the whole weekend!

For those new people, the postgraduate conference is an annual event held by the postgrad representatives of the School of Integrative Biology. All attendees give a short presentation about their project. The aim is to give students an opportunity to discuss their research and be exposed to other ideas and research projects in an informal environment. The weekend is also a bonding experience, fostering a collegial atmosphere that has long-term benefits for postgraduate communication and collaboration. The weekend is open to students from all universities, and research assistants, honours students and postdocs are encouraged to attend.”
